Dawn of a new era?
klaus will be telling to his grandchilds about how he saw him making debut
The walking on, the applauds, the electricity in the air... these memories will be with me forever.
Does this bring it all back Klaus? 🙂
Seeing that picture makes it feel like it happened just a few minutes ago.
Didn't score. Didn't assist. He's shit. :-|
The fans sang "That's Gedion" to the tune of "Let's get it on" when he was introduced 🙂
Love the tune that they picked for this
Boy has the most valuable commodity in the modern game - time when there is none. He always looks as if he has all the time in the world on the ball. Only the very best players have that; Özil has it, Fabregas has it, Iniesta has it, Xavi has it.
Liked what Wenger said about him having personality in his passing. So true. Can't wait to see more of him.
Ah, posted that, then kinda felt, hmm unnecessary, and then I was like, nah, fuckit. 🙂
Comes across well in the vid linked in this article

I think he'll go on to be world class. Unique way about him

Careful Rex you'll spoil your Barcelona dress.
F those Barca boys. If you want to talk time, talk Riquelme and Zidane.
True that, Claude, those two were both prime examples of the same.
bergkamp too. anyone with a great first touch will create more space and time for themselves. i remember an article where van persie talked about the avg time that a player had until he was tackled, and how it shrank dramatically from the backline to the frontline (as you'd expect). for a CF, it was like .5 seconds or something ridiculous like that.
A young van Persie used to love taking a couple of extra touches on the ball before he released it, though. I wonder if that was part of the reason he was injured so much. I remember a number of nasty challenges that could have been avoided if he'd been quicker to just pass the ball.
Then you have Özil who somehow always seems to just glide away from oncoming defenders despite holding on to the ball.
Özil is a better and much quicker footballer though.
Ozil is supreme. Master of throwing the opponent off balance
Looks so effortless to him too. Bet he'd give you a run for your money on the dance floor Dula
