I'm interested to see how Costa does for Spain, he's been superb as a counter attacking outlet for Atletico but against Spain most teams will be pinned back so intrigued to see how Costa does then.

Crazy thing is both of those midfields you list would probably be two of the best in the tournament!

Reckon it'll be Costa, Torres, and Llorente/Villa (Probably Llorente).

Think the Spanish midfield is overrated. It lacks pace and power.

It may have had a fall from grace at club level but nobody at international level has really shown that they can emulate Bayern or Real the way Spain can emulate Barca.

Costa is an interesting addition to the Spanish setup too.

You'd think it would be Torres getting the chop based on form, all the other players have scored at least 10 league goals apart from him

It gives them options when things aren't working and when games are won they can take off key players for a rest.

I like Iturraspe. Don't think he is going to make the final squad though. Belgium squad is immensely strong too. Nainggolan don't even make it!

Attitude issues. Deschamps is not going to risk it this time round. Nasri has caused rifts and disciplinary issues in the last 3 tournament France has called him up for.

Sagna doesn't starts for them much anymore. Debuchy is first choice. Koscielny too faces a tough fight against the other options, was dropped since conceding the penalty in Ukraine.

Very happy for Ander Iturraspe to make the Spain squad. He suits Spain's style better than Martinez IMO, and I wouldn't be surprised if he is kept in the final squad as Busquet's back up.

Nasri, Clichy, Rami, Diaby, Sissoko don't make the cut for France

Can't believe Nasri didn't make it :o Thought that Evra would be dropped, and that Lacazette would get in ahead of Rémy. Schneiderlein is very unlucky to not make the cut.

France have awesome centre backs, and a fantastic midfield. If Ribery and Benzema perform they could go very, very far.
