Not sure the Real Madrid gifs are relevant, I also think he needs to pull his socks up somewhat before being honored with a dedicated section on this forum.

Wenger has to get him to find the goal more regularly. He has it in him to score 20 goals per season without compromising his game.

He has the pace and movement, but I don't think he'll ever have the mentality of a scorer. He's really toothless at times.

i agree with both of you. he obviously has the talent to score 15 a season, but his mentality is too selfless, dare i say almost hleb-like. but who knows maybe wenger can get him to make more forward runs and have more confidence in front of goal.

His finishing on 1v1s or easy chances is really really poor. My friend who is a Madrid supporter absolutely love him, but often gets frustrated by how many chances he wastes, he have the tendency to sidefoot it softly straight at the keeper. Maybe Wenger can change that.

Those gifs lagged my comp, but its obvious from Germany and Madrid matches that he needs movement around him to be very effective and sometimes our players are too static, especially Giroud. Rosicky and Cazorla does move around alot, but its all infront of the penalty area and very centrally, making our play too narrow.

ozil would be great with a ljungberg and pires type out wide. imo, we really miss having wide players who are good off the ball with poacher's instincts, and make those diagonal runs. i really hate having midfield players who always want the ball to feet and drift central. will be interesting to see how he does with walcott in the side.

In his first game Özil created four clear goalscoring chances for Walcott within 40 minutes. Imagine if Theo had been available for the last few months.

I think it'll come. It looks like a side of his game that is a little underdeveloped at the moment but a good manager can change that. Maybe he won't ever be a natural scorer but there are plenty of situations similar to the Napoli one where he can capitalise.

He looked in his best form for Arsenal so far in my opinion. He was never able to make a big contribution because the rest of the team couldn't provide him with the platform to do so. I think he'll have a game vs Marseille.

I don't know if its me, but it seems like he is not getting much joy centrally for awhile now, always drifts to the wing to find more space and often thrives on the right.

That has always been his style of play. He's excellent at it too.

There is not a better player when it comes to finding space IMO.

Still need to find him quicker and more regularly, but above all we need players who can receive the ball from him when they're facing the goal. The one quality in his register that no one else in the world can match him at is wasted otherwise.

Schneiderlin stayed on his feet after the first hip movement, he didn't expect Özil to give another one and come back inside. Still, you've got to know who you're up against never give him the inside there.

Actually, I'm surprised Özil didn't disguise the shot and roll it into Cazorla for a first time strike on goal.
