It's not getting better... Think it might have something to do with the browser Chrome/ cookie/cache settings. After I deleted a bunch of stuff it started loading up ok again

Been having an issue the last couple of days where I can only login to the forum on secret/incognito mode on my phone (android). Have tried in different browser apps (Samsung internet and Chrome) and same issue. On normal mode I can get to the home page but can't login or load any thread and just get "Oops something went wrong. Reload the page and try again."

Have tried the standard things - restart device, clear data/cache/cookies etc, try with a vpn, turn off ad blockers. Same happens on wifi or mobile data so seems a device issue rather than network. It's the only site I'm having the issue with. Any other suggestions?

I can only login on a non-mobile browser for some reason. The entire theme doesn't load on mobile

Never mind. For some reason going to onemoreinthetolly.com/forum caused the issue. I used onemoreinthetolly.com then logged in and everything worked fine.

Not sure if coincidence or an actual issue with /forum. I cleared site cache and cookies a few minutes before too

It should be onemoreinthetolly.com/forums with an s at the end.

Thought it might have resolved itself but I now can't even login or load anything on secret/incognito mode either. It works on my work laptop (which I'm using now to test it), but not at all on my phone on any browser or wifi or mobile data so seems to have suddenly developed a conflict with my device (S24 Ultra if that makes any difference). I haven't done any update in the last couple of days that might change anything. Not having the issue with any other website.
Any idea what I can do? Is there some setting on my phone that has triggered something?

How odd, just tried using onemoreinthetolly.com as tazmania above and it works. It won't load onemoreinthetolly.com/forums which I've always used but dropping forums from the address works - even though it actually loads it with forums in the address. Bizarre. Saving that as a new shortcut has it now working.

Yup, exact same issue for me. I can't access when I use the bookmark I have that is forums (typo above). But when I use onemoreinthetolly directly without anything it works fine. It redirects to the same url

@Burnwinter the site seems to not be working unless I turn on my VPN to UK or Japan. Even the US server doesn't load for some reason. Please check it out and check if there is any geolocation restrictions thay ha e been put up tonight. Thanks.

Big Willie Yeah? Seems okay to me. Just jumped between Australia, United States and UK with no change in access. The hosting setup won't have any geoblocking in place unless something very odd is going on.

The hosting situation itself seems less than ideal. Flarum will hit its limits and crash or time out. Peps and I did troubleshoot a bit maybe 3 years ago, but it's been a good while with nothing changing as far as I know.

Weird. So I tried using it with my data and all works fine. Connect back to the router and not working again unless I use a VPN. Cleared cookies and everything, tried private brower, it's the only site that doesn't work on wifi without VPN, but it works fine on data.

Nah, I'm actually the one who noticed the forums with the s. It's every page on here. Unless I'm using data or a VPN it doesn't work. On regular, incognito and in other browsers. I'll give it until tomorrow and see if it fixes itself.

I was having trouble with it earlier as well, and again about 30 minutes ago, i was getting the same "cannot be reached" error. But now it returned.

One possible cause for a handful of users having access issues but not others (or a handful of network setups, too) would be if the hosting environment is a load-balanced cluster with "sticky sessions" (meaning each user's session cookie or bearer token is "pinned" to a specific application server by the load balancer), and one of these application servers has an outage.

Pure speculation though as I don't know offhand whether OMITT uses any load balancing at all.

Another possible cause is that you're all getting your delayed punishments from Santa for being naughty in 2025.

I wouldn't worry about it too much.
