He should be determined to do well enough to make it in to the World Cup squad too. He would have been a certainty before the injury but may miss out now he's missed half the season unless he can find some form quickly. Theo's injury keeps a spot open.
Özil looks like a really decent lad in most photos, doesn't he? Or maybe it's just me projecting that aura on him because that's the feeling I get every time I see or read an interview with him. Just seems like a genuinely nice fella. There's none of that artificial attitude about him.

But then: Kos, Per and so many others? Pod and Oz still didn't turn it on. Rosicky turned it on after so many years out…. etc. Chambo is just starting. he'll get consistency as he matures. And he'll be great. The competition is the best thing that could have happened to him (and us).

Was looking at this pic on my twitter earlier and my wife saw it and on a quick glance she thought Theo was Monty Panesar and on closer inspection she then said Gibbs looks like a 12 year old boy, she thought it might be his brother 😆
