In the 91st minute, 1-0 up, 'Toon constantly in our half - I'd say the mature thing there is to delay the throw as much as possible, throw it down the line to a player taking it to the corner flag trying to win a corner or a throw.

However, I don't think that is what happened there! Jenko just had no clue Bendtner was there.

For a seemingly intelligent team we keep having some extremely dumb moments.
Ramsey putting the ball out of play when Ramirez was playacting, Gibbs killing our attack before losing possession when Ramsey pulled his hammy, Jenko's throw in, Giroud's offside moment to name some recent ones.
Some of the experienced players should have a word.

I'm not sure putting the ball out of play when someone gets injured can be equalled to poor awareness.

Yeah, but it's an active decision whereas Giroud, Jenko and Gibbs mostly screw up because they are limited players. And that, I imagine, is the only explanation anyone needs. No point in making too much out of it.

It was great play by Jenkinson to win that throw in the first place. Everyone else was sat on the edge of our box waiting for Newcastle to lump it forwards again. Won us a vital 45 seconds.

He had his back turned towards Bendtner too and the crowd was making noise. Was very little reason for him to speed things up to be fair.

Spot on. People focusing too much on the non-throw incident and ignoring the fact that he did really well to win us that throw in. He chased Haidara all the way and forced him to play the ball out. Deserves credit for that alone, and it's not like Bendtner would have done anything with that chance anyway.

Which idiot would have chase the ball for 40 yards to win a throw in, at a time when we are trying to waste time, to quickly turn his back and throw it back to Bendtner quickly?

It was natural he took a breather and waste as much time as possible. We had been defending a 1-0 lead for the last 20mins with our backs against the wall, it was natural playing mentality.

It's fair enough not to rush putting the ball back in play when defending a lead, but at the same time, if you find yourself in front of an empty goal, you don't take it to the corner flag just because there's only a few minutes left.

Jenkinson did well initially, but showed poor awareness after that. Thankfully Newcastle failed to score and we won the game, so all is good.

Err you do actually, and thats the mentality that should be instilled into the players if we want to win anything.
Years and years of cavalier naivety and brainfarts has got us nothing, worse than that it has gotten us the reputation of those nice guys who never get the girl.
I long for the days when we amassed red cards like christmas cards and neutrals called us boring because we won all the time, I think Mourinho was trying to goad us into being more naive and careless with him "boring" comment, it actually was a backhanded compliment- If he feels the need to say something about us he must be worried.
Fuck the neutrals I don't care what they think and neither should the team they should play for us.

Having said that I agree with Klaus, I don't think Jenks was aware and he was just naturally wasting time, so I don't get all the hullabaloo.
Bendtner is a fucking idiot and I'd rather win 1-0 than see him score and win 2-0.
