Barkley is well ahead of Ox for me, and that's not a knock on Ox either.
Chamberlain looks the bigger talent to me, by quite a distance too.
Pogba is proper wish list material though. He could turn into such a devastating player. We need to be there when he decides to leave Italy.

Can Pogba play in a holding role next to somebody like Ramsey?
He's played the holding role for France every match he's played for them bar the last match of qualification against Ukraine. He's definitely more of a box to box player, but I think they could play together in the future with more experience.
Still holding out hope that Ramsey and Wilshere can pair eachother when they've grown up a bit.
It will only be successful if one of them learns the Arteta/Bisquit role properly as neither of them has pace and Wilshere, especially, goes to ground too much when challenging. Worryingly, i have read quotes by him "bigging up" tackling yet he is one of the worst practitioners of that skill in our midfield.
Pogba and Ramsey wouldn't work together I reckon. Pretty similar midfielders.
They'd be a traditional 80s midfield, where two box-to-box guys were deployed. This was long before Claude Makelele
Is Cabaye still available? Would love him to be our pivot.
Of course he's available. He's not better than Arteta though IMO. Not yet anyway, he'd have to go through an adaptation period for that position.
As a specific pivot, yeah hes not better than Arteta. As a central mid, he is currently the better player.
Loic Remy pls
Loic Remy to not score against us at least. He was on song vs Stoke by the looks ...
How's Remy's trial going? We're obviously not going to sign him while a rape charge is hanging over him.
Weren't the charges dropped?
No idea. Were they? I just know that he was on bail until early december. Haven't heard anything since then.
Stoke had 2 players sent off against Newcastle; we need to put their strong result into context.
Please please please finish this side off with a top drawer striker who is capable of holding his own, moving intelligently, playing good combination football and who can find net regularly
Just get Diego Costa. Pay over the odds if needed. Him n podolski in a frontline together adds an awful lot of man.
Costa
Podolski-Ozil-Cazorla
Dreaming.
What is so good about Costa? I've only see YouTube clips of him (which, to be honest are a bit underwhelming) so don't really get the hype.
He's strong, he's fast, and he's aggressive on and off the ball. He's not a genius by any stretch of the imagination, but he's quality. Basically, think of a much better version of Giroud who is tough as nails.
Unbelievable power and pace. Can finish and dribble. Isn't particularly spectacular or anything but he's a nightmare to play against.
Sign him and Giuseppe Rossi, get rid of Giroud. Proper firepower so that we can mount a serious challenge on all four trophies next season.
Would be all for that. Giroud has his uses but ultimately he's a striker who nobody expects to score when the big chance comes and can't be relied on whatsoever against good sides. If the rest of the squad is in decent shape this summer then we should look for a second quality forward (presuming we get a first)
This guy would rip shit up in the Premier League:
I'm desperate for us to have some proper South American players in the side.
I'm with you on that
I hate Cavani for going to PSG. All he needed to do was to wait a month and he'd be playing in a proper position in a proper team in a proper league.
Maybe De Laurentiis pushed him towards PSG? It's a pretty legit project to be fair, can't blame him.
The project is legit, Ligue 1 is not. He's basically put his career on hold for the next two years for a huge paycheck. Same with Ibra. Bloody moron. Zlatan would have a legitimate claim at the ballon d'or in a proper league with the football he's been playing for the last 2-3 years. Instead he's wasting his prime playing in a blueberry league against teams like Lorient, Ajaccio and Evian Thonon Gaillard.
PSG could win the CL though. Best CB in Europe, best centre forward in Europe, top class midfield three.
I can think of worse places than Paris were I flush with cash though.

They could but they probably won't. They don't get tested enough. Suspect they'll fold again as soon as they face a big team. Of all their opponents only Monaco would make it into the upper half of Premier League.
Everytime I see this thread I think-
Those beers in the spa have gone to your head biggus...and your loins!
I was thinking if Matt Flamini would be starting the next game.
Nicolas Anelka?
Giroud wouldn't have scored the goal he just did.
Exactly. I wasn't at all serious I'm just very attracted to strikers that score goals these days..
Anelka with an antisemitic gesture to celebrate his goal. Sad, but that boy is a complete headcase.
