Pogba is bloody incredible. The amount of skills and talent he have coupled with his immense potential, even 40m would be worth it at the end of the season. I know we are well stocked in centre mid but if given the opportunity I think Wenger would splash on him.

I would love to have El Shaarawy, but not sure in our setup he could play lone CF.

Time to go for Benteke. He's better than Giroud imo, he's gettable, only 22 and has done it in the league. He'll cost 20 or 25 million but honestly who gives a fuck? The title is there for the taking and if we do it this season it could lead to years of success.

Even if he's only around Girouds level he's still worth the money. We'd have 2 good strikers who offer different strengths. And we wouldn't have to run Giroud into the ground and have fuck all options when he has a bad game.

We're not going to get top class in January so a very good young striker who has the potential to become top class is the next best thing. Absolutely no point waiting for the summer. Half the top strikers were on the move this summer and we ended up with nothing. The same could easily happen again next year so lets just go for it and give ourselves a proper chance this season.

He's not really done it in the league though has he? Having a thoroughly underwhelming second season and despite the goals I was never a fan last season to begin with. Sign Benteke and we can't expect any new forwards for the next few years, which means we'll be stuck with two Giroud level players up front. Go for someone with a bit more pace, movement and perhaps trickery, up front.

Michu would be my pick in january.

He scored 23 goals last season. And he's one behind Giroud in the league this season despite missing a couple of games through injury and playing for Aston Villa.

Go hard for a top striker in the summer and sell Giroud. But like i said if we couldn't get one last summer theres no reason why it won't happen again this summer. What then? Wait another 12 months?

Signing Klose makes sense to me. He's out of contract in summer apparently and surely Lazio would take a few million for him.

Negredo must go. Costa too, I guess. And then who do you take from Michu, Torres, David Villa, Llorente, Pedro (if he's a striker)?

Michu won't be going to the WC unless there are tons of injuries. He's nowhere near good enough for them and his style of play really doesn't match the philosophy there.

We're not selling Giroud anytime soon so I agree we have to be very smart about integrating a new striker. No point having another good but not class striker, but if we trump Giroud I can see his form/confidence dipping quickly.

Its a tough decision, but eventually we have to choose who's strengths to maximize - Ozil or Giroud. Really don't see those two becoming a great partnership as Giroud (and Santi/Wilshere/etc.) are clogging space for Ozil rather than making it.

So, I'd prefer a more mobile striker than Giroud of which Benteke and Michu are. Just not sure either is that significant of an improvement. With time, and belief in what we can achieve, my opposition to Suarez has waned. Throw Liverpool a 50 million offer in Christmas (hopefully they're waning by then) and see if they bite.

Diego Costa would be ideal, makes exactly the type of runs Ozil looks for, won't be long before he is in the same category as Cavani.

Lukakakau is a real Jose style player aswell so not sure they'll go for Costa.

Diego Milito is out of contract too in the summer.

I think he's injured again at the moment, but yeah. He made a short comeback from that knee injury. Looks like he'll be back again after the international break.

Would take him as a last resort if he's fit in January.
