If he's sitll not moved by August I could be desperate to sign him but I don't think Cahill is the solution to our problems. I'd rather someone a bit more experienced.

Right now my preference is Samba. He'd be excellent for us.

Samba is not better than Cahill. No way, no how. Samba really is awful, nothing to with where he cones from - which is France btw - he's just rubbish.

But seriously though, Bartley for Squid and a injury free season for Vermaelen is more than enough, we don't need Cahill.

I wouldn't be against that mate. As long as Bartley is trusted and given games if he has earned them. Wenger has this annoying system where it takes an eternity to earn his trust, which could result in Squillaci getting all the games I'd want Bartley playing in.

Should have got him 2 summers ago when we were linked, he's a quality defender. We wouldn't concede 54% of our goals from set pieces if he played thats for sure.

In fact, I want you to play football manager and find a way to bring in Benzema and Hangeland without incurring more than 20 million pounds net spend after dumping some of our stragglers. On paper, these moves are very doable

Hangelaand was priced at around £15m when we were linked with him I think.

AS for football manager I'm killing it on the latest up date, won the quadruple back to back in my first 2 seasons plus all them pissy world tournaments the CL winner gets in. Very direct 4-4-2 was the key.

When you have "earned" his trust though you can play as poorly as you want without repercussions. There are quite a few in our squad that are proof of that.

Yeah, that's definitely true, but it does take a while for him to trust you, and he will pick poorer performing players ahead of you simply because they have earned more of his trust previously.
