He really is though. Lad lumbers around the pitch, looks like he's about to die after a ten yard sprint. Loads of injury problems this season too, makes things worse. Not a chance in hell Wenger's even remotely interested, I'd rather we took our chances with Bendtner.

Well, it was more with the fact that he was owned by third party ownership. Aletico didn't pay all of the transfer fee when they bought him from Porto. To maximize profits for the third party (Doyen Group), he went to Monaco.
Wenger likes Michu a lot. I think he would have tried for him this window if it wasn't for the injury.
I don't think he's lumbering for the record. His off-the-ball movement really is outstanding. Envy that. We could have used a forward like that in this team.
Never mind Michu, here's the one we want:

This is an excellent explanation of the situation 🙂
I wish we could get Costa in January. 🙁
He would be the best upgrade we could hope for but, unfortunately, it doesn't seem likely in this window.

Thanks for that. I was wrong but not, at all, surprised by the facts!
Don't much like Costa. Certainly not a dream signing for me.
Costa's pretty much ours in the summer if we want him though, right? For around £35m? I guess unless Chelsea comes in?

Don't think he's a dream signing for anyone. He's not in the Zlatan/Cavani/Aguero bracket of players but he's pretty darn effective and better than Giroud.
You think Cavani can actually be got?
No.
I think we have a massive, expensive scouting network who should be able to unearth someone and if it means going to south america/Africa/Asia and dealing with sharks, so be it.
We can't go straight to South America though, work permits and all that jazz. Costa is available in the summer for sure, probably Benzema too. Maybe Rooney. Significant upgrades on Giroud will be available, just have to go get one.
I think South America is a no-go market, for Wenger, due to the third-party ownership issues.
Get Rooney
Im pretty sure United would not humiliate themselves by selling us Rooney.
You lot think Rooney ahead of Ozil would work that well?
Definitely.
Would win us the league. Best thing about Rooney is that you can play him in all 4 of our forward positions too.
Out of all the possible targets he and Suarez were/are the only ones who are able to "play with Giroud or without him" as Wenger said.
