I doubt it, he didn't leave in the summer because he wants to go to Brazil with the German squad so isn't going to jeopardise that now.

From Schalke's point of view makes sense to get a potential replacement (if Draxler is leaving) in now, so by the start of next season he will be fully settled into the club and team.

This works out at around £31.5mill, for those who have seen him is he worth that much? Considering that a top class striker could possibly cost twice that money.

31.5m after tax.

In reality it would cost a hell of a lot more than 31.5m.

It will be 31.5m + 20m vat according to Graham Hunter. Not sure how it works, but add salary and sign-ons etc he will cost about 70m?

Where is all this tax stuff coming from? IIRC when Bayern bought Martinez from Bilbao the courts rule that tax isn't applicable, in these kind of disputes the Spanish FA get involved, so the money was paid to them who then transferred the money to the club.

Statute of the FIFA Article 17.2 comes into action which paves way for Bayern in their capture. The article states that the buyout clause must be paid by the player and his new club together and there is no obligation on the new club and respective player to pay taxation monies.

The transaction is exempt from VAT following the precedent set by Ronaldo’s transfer to Real Madrid 10 years ago. Liga de Futbol Profesional has it in good accord that binding the specified payment of the clause; clubs are exempt from this tax as it is considered compensatory in nature.

On the other hand, the proceedings are exempt from income tax depending on FIFA’s Article on Players' Status. Bayern together with the player will make payment of the clause, and hence, it will be a transaction between two clubs, two legal entities.

Since there is no individual involved, no income tax will be levied on the whole deal. The personal income tax applies only to individuals and therefore it is inapplicable in the current scenario.

Not the most reliable sources (not sure there will be any in English though, most likely Spanish/German) but both essentially saying that no tax or VAT will be liable. The deal can get a bit messy though.
