All I'm saying is there's a difference when you sign a mercurial player in a slump. He'd need plenty of minutes to feel wanted, but never mind, it's verging on psychobabble.
All we really need is someone who can come off the bench and be a real threat, and help out as a starter if we have injuries. If it has to be a cheap gamble it's still better than nothing.
