Wild rumours all over Brazil that we have bidded for Pato, 8m euros rejected by Corinthians. They want 12m.

Hope we get him, is the best realistic top quality option out there, and not cup tied.

At that kind of money I suppose it is worth a punt but a bit of a worry about him not really being up for it these days according to Tim Stillman. Maybe coming back to Europe away from distractions in Brazil we might be able to get him going again.

Like Rayman says realistically we might struggle to get any better in this window.

I'd like a more mobile option to Giroud, so Pato does make sense. His scoring record isn't particularly impressive though, even while he's been playing in Brazil its been a bit average.

Wenger doesn't care much about the current performances (or even position) of a player anyway. He looks at the skillset and grabs someone who has the right makeup. I feel that Pato would be terrific for us given some time. We could probably resurrect his career. I don't think he's going to hit the ground running though which makes him pointless as a january signing.

He's snubbed Spurs for us apparently, that arrangement they have with Madrid' s a bit one-sided.

Haven't caught a lot of Morata's minutes but I'm hopeful.....like his build, and Real Madrid pedigree for strikers can be great (see Callejon who wasn't getting much playing time prior to his move).

Haven't seen much of him either but I'm aware that a lot of people rate him at Madrid. Their fans have called for him to start lately.
