captain loves reus. never really understood why. very good player, but not quite up there with the best imo.

i haven't seen that much of draxler, but there is definitely something there. still very raw, but he has a lot of ability and talent. would love it if we signed him.

Other than Ribery and Ronaldo, who is a bonafide better left winger than Reus? Certainly nobody at Arsenal.

Reus is a cut above Draxler. Wonderful player, and easily one of the best wing forwards in the world.
However, I'd say we need a number 9 rather than the type of player Reus represents.

depends on how you define left winger. neymar and bale?

Well now thanks to Özil, Cazorla plays there and I would say he is as good as Reus is at the moment

Cazorla isn't a forward though. Reus is as good as wide forwards come though.

So one on one with the goal keeper are you saying you'd want Reus over Caz Rohit? To me Caz has seemed an adept finisher (I know that's not what you meant by "wide forward" but I'm just curious). Have never really watched Reus.

Cazorla misses his fair share of chances. In terms of attributes, yes, I would certainly take Reus over Cazorla as a wide forward.

Reus is good but I think Theo is better

What? 😐

In essence, Reus likes to exploit space behind the opposition's back 4 whereas Cazorla wants the ball to his feet 99 times out of 100. You can't have two Cazorlas playing on the wings in our current system, especially if Eeyore is the striker in between.

reus is superb, and his aggressive movement and goals would be a huge asset for us. other than theo, we don't have anyone that makes consistent penetrative runs off the ball.

Reus would be easily the best winger in our team if he comes here. Not sure why people don't see it

I don't think it's weird that everybody here doesn't rate Reus higher than Cazorla.

in this team, i'd rather have reus than cazorla. that's easy. he'd be our leading scorer, best freekicker (and he'd actually score on some of those).

The comparison itself is a bit weird, though.

Having Cazorla as a supersub would be ridiculous.

I'd love to see Walcott in that situation eventually. For me, he'll always be a player who has awesome moments now and again but won't ever fully fit into our system

I think Walcott could be entering a period of adjustment concerning his career expectations at the moment.

It seems, though it's not clear, that he may be accepting he's never going to lead the line. Will have to keep an eye on what he says in public this season.

Once that adjustment does take hold - and eventually it will - I think we'll have a player who's willing to contribute in any capacity provided the money is there and major trophies are a real possibility.

exactly

People are talking about wingers but I think Wenger sees this squad as a world class striker and maybe a DM away from challenging.
