Yep. Seriously doubt it's only the club holding up a new deal at this point. Of course Sagna's going to run it down and at least pretend to shop around for a payday.

Hope we win the league to give him the best incentive to stick around.

Bac's agent is probably looking around for interest from other clubs at a much better rate than 90k.

I've suspected for a long time that he'll end up at one of the new French giants earning a squillion when he ends this contract. What's changed is I'm now really, really hoping he'll stay. He's having an excellent season.

Only Psg or Monaco would offer him anything close to 100k a week i reckon. Possibly Man City. If he wants us to pay that sort of money then he's as good as gone.

I think from Arsenal's point of view we need to look at the pros and cons of offering him big money. Will work out cheaper than buying a replacement but sets a bad precedent that I think the club will want to avoid as others will try to run their contracts down.

Considering he would be going on a free I reckon his deal would work out at over over £100k p/w elsewhere, he'll be in line for a nice big signing on fee.....

Disappointing we've got ourselves into this position again, you'd think after Nasri & RvP we'd have pushed harder to tie him down.

I've got a feeling Sagna has been pushing for a big deal but also Arsenal possibly thinking after his second leg break he might not recover to the same level so not willing to offer big money.

Montoya is really leaving Barca. We need to get him even if Sagna signs.

Personally don't see the fuss about paying Sagna £100K per week. He deserves a great last contract for years of world-class performances. It would cost us more to sign a decent replacement and then pay him wages on top of the transfer fee anyway.

Depends on the length of the contract, I wouldn't want him earning big wages on anything longer than a 2 year contract.

2 year contract on mega wages is fine by me, longer than that and I don't think it would be a good move.
