Can't fathom why Mata would be out of favour after the performances he's put in, meanwhile they persist with Torres while looking to offload a potentially more productive striker in Ba.

Can't believe this Özil deal is happening, feels unreal to be honest.

Feel almost uneasy about the amount of money spent after years of defending or praising our cautious spending to rival fans (not all the time, but some of it anyway).

Fingers crossed he's just as unbelievable for us on the pitch as his arrival is now.

Burnsy: I think Torres will be difficult to get rid of though. He's on monster wages and obviously doesn't give a fuck about his career at this point, which gives him very little incentive to move. They're going to have to run his contract down unless some other top club offers to take him off their hands.

You have to give the club credit for the way they managed to sneak this one under the radar. If the story had broken two days earlier he wouldn't be on a plane to London right now. At least he wouldn't have Arsenal as his destination.

Sure but they piss away money all the time (eg his wages) and he's useless. If they wanted to win football matches and he wasn't an Abramovich ego project you'd think they'd just subsidise his departure to another club as soon as possible.

Instead Abramovich seems inclined to procure a promise from each new manager that he'll be the one to rehabilitate Goldilocks.

Henry was just another solid player when we signed him. He had yet to reach superstar levels, unlike Bergkamp. If Ozil comes now it will be the biggest since DB10
