Message from every journo going seems to be that Oezil has been offered around to lots of clubs.
If he's actually available, we have no excuse to not lodge a big bid. I would bid more than we did for Suarez for Ozil. Think hes one of the top top class players that would transform our side. And then we could go after a top forward in January or the summer since who wouldn't want to play with Cazorla and Ozil giving you service...

I don't buy this whole "nobody wants to come to us" thing. Maybe it applies for super elite players, but look at teams like PSG and Man City: they've been trophyless for decades, and now they're hot shit. If you offer players enough money, they'll come.

It's not just the money, players need to know that the club are serious about building a title winning team. Had we signed Suarez and Gustavo by now, I suspect it would be a lot easier to convince the Real Madrid boys.
And that all goes back to spending the money. You pay few players who are worth it £150k then all of a sudden other players worth that will want to play for you too.
