Bacca, Falcao, Jackson Martinez, Adrian Ramos, Muriel. Colombia is clearly where the good strikers are at. Maybe that's where we should aim for our new striker.

Agreed. If Costa goes to Chelsea as expected I reckon Martinez will be the best striker realistically available to us this summer. Cavani and Falcao are both pipe dreams as far as I'm concerned.

They have been very good this season Sevilla. Unai Emery once again is proving himself to be a very good coach since his Valencia days.

Rakitic has been the best player outside of the top 3. Bacca misses too many chances for my liking but he have potential to be their new Negredo. Reyes is having a good season as well.

Still think Real will win the title since they have easy remaining fixtures

Martinez has looked like a complete dud every time I've seen him. I think people are just being charmed by his good numbers in an average league.

The Barcelona side is showing how underrated guardiola's work was. They look very average in many ways these days and a totally different package to pep's side.

Aymeric laporte also looks to be a serious player, probably the next big CB coming through and doing so under the radar a bit.

Talk sport have linked us to him but I doubt we are in for him. Has a release clause of €36m if rumours are right and he looks a phenomenal talent. Makes sense for Bayern because CB is a position they'll want to improve and they do usually spend £30m+ a season strengthening the squad.

Heard Fabregas was booed when he came on, can't see him staying much longer if this continues. They simply won't forgive him unless he plays better. He simply can't settle into this setup, he needs to leave IMO

Could someone explain how Atheltic Bilbao's Basque-only policy allows them to still compete at the highest level for fourth place in one of the best leagues in the world? According to Wikipedia there are only 12 million Basques. Imagine if Arsenal had no competition at all for young talent in greater London. Could we field an only Londoner team in the PL that could get fourth place? Even an all English team?

12 million football mad people is a lot of folk. Uruguay has a population of 4 million, Paraguay 7 million, and Portugal 10 million for example

They don't really follow the Basque only policy though. They also have competition from Real Sociedad which is a Basque club.

Probably.

But It's right on the team charter and it's openly used and acknowledged. Someone would have done something about it by now if it really posed an issue.
