Cor dear. One direction and now this
Bale is and has been the business for a while now. Wish we'd gotten him instead of Theo. Now he's been stained by them.
That was a mediocre hattrick though. Morass of bad defending by guys with a tiny fraction of Bale's physique and athleticism.

Sums up La Liga.
It's a fantastic league. There is comedy defending every week, in every league.
There is no doubt that playing in La Liga helps superstars rack up ridiculous stats both at home and abroad. Point is he's one of the three deadliest forwards regardless of the quality of defending.
Quite a few players have said it's easier to score in PL than in La Liga.
It's easier to score for Barcelona or Madrid than it is for Spurs.
Didnt Bale just recently say somewhere that he cant believe how much time and space is allowed on the ball in La Liga?
Özil saying PL is like football in F1 speed confirms it too that the La Liga experience is much less fast and furious.
Cazorla/Fabregas/Silva etc have all said space is much harder to come by between the lines in La Liga.
Leaving aside the general case, just compare Bale's three goals with the three we just scored against Cardiff.

And also regular La Liga supporters.
Which is am bemused about because it really seems so bloody easy to score in La Liga.
He need to stop playing stupid passes that put his teammates in difficult positions. It looks good on him but not with his teammate being marked by 4 other players then losing possession.
Nothing wrong with it, just control the pass. It's Barcelona not Barnsley.
Pick better options then.
Hasn't been at his very best this season, but the boy will go down as a great of the game.
Busquets has been their 2nd best player this season. He's the only player in their midfield that defends, Iniesta and Xavi are useless. The days of Barca pressuring opponents with intensity are long gone.
Neymar and Alexis, no?
Busquets was boss in the classico, but I don't think he's been playing at his best this season.
Neymar and Alexis have been great but neither are as essential to the team as Busquets. Both have gone missing without Messi too.
