I was very confident United wouldn't get through. They are not the same team this season. We seem to be just about the only team who haven't exploited that fact this season.

Was never in doubt. I would only be worried if they were leading 2-0. Even at 1-0 i was still confident Bayern will do them.

Still laughing at those who said Manure was "nailed on" and "in a very good position" to go through despite drawing 1-1 at home in the first leg. This result was never in doubt, so clear cut.

Bayern don't look like one of the great teams to be honest, Barcelona at their best just tore you to shreads. Bayern are a dull as it gets, don't look great defensively and don't look great going forward either. Yet you can't argue with their record, potentially their 5th final in 4 years, which is amazing.

There aren't any real great teams out there at the mo.

There's been a switch to more emphasis on high pressing and less focus on combination play, which will mean we'll see different teams being at the top each year.

Football is just about how can run the hardest now

Bayern even this year are much more entertaining than Barca have been since Pep reshaped them. Bayern have threats all over the pitch and play with more pace and directness, their off the ball running is far, far better. Barca were more about holding possession in the middle 3rd of the pitch for ages before short passing it to Messi to let him do his thing. And Messi for all his brilliance just isn't that exciting a player (by Ballon D'Or winner standards).

Think Chelsea will do a job on them. Madrid have some great individual talent which will piss on Mourinho's tactical chips.

and if bayern play the way they did against us and yanited, you only need to be marginally better. although our last result against chelsea and the table doesn't suggest marginally better anyway.

Not as much as Bayern and Madrid. Big games are Mourinho's specialty, Mourinho builds his sides to destroy teams like Bayern who looked dogshit against a defensively solid United and Madrid look poor against anyone decent enough, including Barca and Atletico
