They finished first so they earned the right to face an easier draw to be fair.

We can only blame ourselves for facing Bayern.

Anyway let Chelsea progress as far as possible, the more games they play the better.

What's unfair about saying that they had an easier draw than either us or City?
That includes the group stages too.
United's was even easier again.

Group stages maybe but bottom line is they finished first even when it looked uncertain for them (they lost 1-0 at home to Basel). It's not their fault they faced Gala.

Despite our tough group we were in a great position to finish first and fucked it up as usual so it's right we got what we deserved ie faced the best team in Bayern.

It's got nothing to do with "fault" and there's nothing at all unfair in saying Chelsea had an easier draw right from the beginning.
It's not a criticism of them.
They did what they needed to do but their task was always less onerous.

Well, we get a piss easy draw most years and get found our as soon as we don't have to face Dinamos and Spartaks. Mourinho has made about 4 straight quarter finals now.

Yeah, it is such a great achievement dragging the small, poor clubs Inter, Real Madrid, and Chelsea to the CL quarter finals. What a man.

If anything, failing to reach the CL final with Real Madrid three seasons in a row should be seen as a failure rather than success.

He got Inter there and they've never won the CL since the 60s. Honestly Inter were hopeless most years in the CL.

No, we don't. Claude specifically said in the last 4 years, which means we shouldn't even be mentioning Inter. It is laughable to try and make Moron getting into the quarter finals 4 years in a row as some sort of achievement when you factor in that it has been with Real Madrid and Chelsea.

Wenger never won it despite taking part in it for 17 years in a row. In that time he had a team consisting of Bergkamp, Henry, Vieira, Pires, Campbell, Cole, etc. If we're gonna have a pop at an oppo manager for failing in the CL, we could look much closer to home first. I realize how much fun it is to bash Maureen though.

I wasn't the one trying to sell anything. Saying it is an achievement to get Chelsea and Real Madrid to the CL quarterfinals is just wrong.

Inter had all the best players in Italy after the Calciopoli. Easily the best squad in the world at the time and they kept adding players to it.
