For what its worth, Wenger said in an interview that the best team he ever played against was Barcelona in the first half of the 08-09 game at the emirates where Almunia had a blinder. Wenger said we could easily be 6-0 down at half time

Simeone using Koke and Raul Garica up front in a 442. Two central midfielders.

My mistake, Adrian is up front. Koke in his usual position.

Big fan of the way he uses Raul Garcia. He was a central midfielder known for popping up with goals at Osasuna and previous stints with Atleti. Now Simeone uses him up the front when he wants to rest Villa/Costa and he's pretty much a goal a game player.

Adrian is dropping back to the LW when Atleti don't have the ball, making a 451. When they recover possession he joins Garcia.

Diego Costa played a similar role against Barca in the 1st leg of the super cup at the Calderón; played upfront with Villa when in possession but dropped back to RW without the ball to make it a 4-5-1.

Dunno why Simeone didn't use Baptistão in the absence of Costa.

Watch out for Atletico, they could easily be this year's Dortmund.

Garcia scores a goal whenever he plays. Looks like Simeone doesn't trust Baptistao, the player looks like he hasn't adapted to the team shape and spirit.
