It is true, and quite sad actually. Last season they played the best ball in Europe by a street.
They were tactically very flexible last season whereas under Pep they are enforcing their possession game upon teams. Think they just had a bad day tbh, their front trio weren't on song and when they did make some runs the midfield didn't spot them. Problem with this brand of football is you have to be incredibly patient because teams tend to sit so deep. So a lack of movement and it becomes even more difficult.
They have had a bit of blip recently, winning the league so easily and quickly means every game there is pointless and I think mentally they have lost some focus. I don't think players are able to switch on and off like managers, they need to keep their standards and level high.
Saying that R.Madrid should of scored more, those missed chances may come to cost them.
