Wonder how much of an affect heading the ball over the course of a football career has on long term mental health.
There was a study last year or so in some serious Medical Journal claiming there was an impact, but only heading the ball repeatedly. In essence, if you play recreationally once a week it wouldn't matter too much, but for professionals it's definitely a risk. I don't remember where it was but I'm sure someone can find it if they can be arsed.
