I'm not his biggest fan, but the guy deserves a proper sending off at the end of this season. Pretty much everyone else would have retired by now instead of putting themselves through this hell every time. Only one I can think of who had it worse is Aliadiere.

Good point about Aliadere, even though he then went to France and become a very decent striker.

I remember being impressed by Aliadiere during our carling cup run to the final. He had alot in his locker, but his injuries problems are so bad

Aliadiere played in England too, no? If my memory doesn't play tricks on me, he played for middlesboro or something, and even scored against us (hope I'm not thinking of someone else). Anyway - wasn't half the player or half the injury situation. The similarities are in being a squad member without really being one for many, many years.
Edit: just checked it - he did score against us, was a 1:1 draw. Also saw that it was in fact wenger who helped him sign for Lorient some 4 years ago. Boss certainly goes a long way to help those unfortunate players.
BTW, Aliadiere still plays - currently in Qatar, for UM Salal (if I got it right).

Aliadiere played for Middlesbrough and Lorient for a while, but he was about 30% of the player who made Claude Dusseau, the head coach at Clairefontaine, say that "the three best strikers to emerge from Clairefontaine are Thierry Henry, Nicolas Anelka and Jeremie Aliadiere". Injuries robbed him of a career destined for greatness. He made something like 29 appearances in 9 years for Arsenal. Even Diaby has 180 games under his belt.

Diaby will not be getting a contract anywhere in the world. That said, Keiron Dyer had a career for years on the basis of being injured for the entire season.

Someone over at RedCafe said this of Özil:
During his days spent at FC Schalke 04, the German trequartista was injured for a total of seven days. At Werder Bremen he spent 29 days injured whilst at Real Madrid he spent no days in the physio room.

If that's true, it's kind of ridiculous.

I'm pretty sure it's true. He made 53, 52 and 52 appearances for Real in his three seasons there.

We already know that something smells like Denmark at Arsenal though. What's more interesting to discuss is that I'm pretty sure injury statistics for any players who have moved to Premier League, and not just to Arsenal, follow a similar pattern. They are, on average, injured less in Spain or France or Italy than they are in England. And the reasons are obvious to my mind. The standard of the refereeing, the lack of a winter break, the added strain of a pointless league cup, the lack of understanding for congested fixture schedules... these are all real problems that Premier League needs to deal with. It's not funny anymore.

Allegedly, he played on and aggravated his hamstring injury against Bayern because he had never had a soft tissue injury in his life and didn't even know what it felt like to identify it.

Everyone in the Premier League bar Chelsea has had severe injury problems this season. You either have to dope like Mourinho or be a master of rotation like Ferguson to escape these issues if you're in European competition.

Ramsey has done his hamstring again and Sanchez has possibly done his knee. Logical though, since Welbeck and Wilshere have just recovered. 1 in another out, always.

Yes I was ready to take him off at half-time but he said, ‘no it’s okay, I can go on’. When I watched him play I thought, ‘No, that hasn’t [got better]’. Sometimes when you run it off it’s just a kick but he became worse and I didn’t see him in the second half.
