Official Injury Thread 2013/14

I think we need a dedicated injury thread given the carnage we witnessed today.
Official sources as much as possible please, and if twitter is the source for your injury news please say so.

Gibbs with a deep gash, got stitches. Should be ok to play so long as he's not a pussy.

Ramsey picked up a knock on his ankle, "a knock" could mean anything though.

Rosicky picked up a knock too.

Sagna has "a problem" after his fall.

Twitter rumours of Ox doing his cruciate, nothing remotely official though.

Chamberlain's injury sounds like total BS. If you've torn a cruciate ligament in your knee you don't get up and play on for a while, and you're not back in anything like 3 months either.

If Ox has done his cruciate, it'll take a few days for a scan. And ACL is 9 months - season over. So hope it's not that.

3 months would probably tie in more with medial ligament damage.

My brother went an entire year undiagnosed - having been misdiagnosed as a minor strain at A & E on the day it happened. Although to be fair he didn't go back to playing during that time, it took him a year of coming home in agony every day to get checked out again!

Apparently the Guardian is reporting that Ox has in fact done his knee ligaments and could be out for the season. I can't find a direct link yet, so take this with a massive grain of salt.

EDIT: don't panic super hard just yet, apparently it will be reported in the Mail

Being assessed and scanned for definitive diagnosis.

this has fucked us. we only really have poldi who is capable out there, and possibly fat santi. i doubt a wide player was high on our (non-existent) shopping list.

To be fair, Sanogo was probably always going to start out on the wing like pretty much all the other strikers Wenger has signed (Chamakh being the only one I can't remember being pushed out wide) so there's no doubt he'll be tried out there.

What's with good British talent at Arsenal and big injuries - Walcott, Ramsey, Wilshere, now Chamberlain.

So many had high hopes of him this season. He's probably cursing himself for going in the way he did.
