It's not often I agree with you IG but this time I too am bewildered why we're playing a PL team in a friendly and this close to the league season.
I suppose it's the closest we'll ever get to playing in a community shield for the foreseeable future. 🙁

Why are we playing against MC? because some twat wants to pay the club a fortune for the game and the club feels that getting money for a one off is better than preparing for an actual competition.

I have never heard of finnish gooners or anything of the osrt and this comes on the back of excellent pre-season spent in blistering humidity and heat in s.e asia which is obviously perfect to prepare for a temperate northern european aug-may season?

Every big team does these tours in pre season to build a global brand. To be fair it looked good for team bonding from the videos. And the players looked pretty fit in the emirates cup. Everything seems well done from the club at the moment.
