Am I right when I say that we had to win any one of the 2 games to win the title, but lost em both?
Good to know the first team and the kids are in sync.
U18s drew their last game of the season 3-3 with Tottenham. 16 year old Eddie Nketiah scored his 24th goal of the season to finish top scorer in the country at that level. Think it's time I start taking him more seriously. It has been obvious for a while that he's a very good finisher, but I didn't think much of the rest of his game. To score so many goals - only Afobe has scored more at U18 level and he had some brilliant players around him - he might really have something a bit special in front of goal.
That's the ex Chelski youngster right? Sounds promising. He'll be getting trained by Thierry, go on lad.

Nketiah's hattrick. Cover your eyes at our defending.
Why did we allow their 2-goal striker to wear our uniform?
Brace of own goals vs Tottenham 😆 First one especially was impressive from 30 yards out. If this kid doesn't have a big future ahead at our club I don't know who does
There's all of Nketiah's 24 goals. Quite Afobe-esque, perhaps a better finisher actually. Not sure about him overall though.
Doesn't look amazing. We've had a few good goal scorers at this level who never make the grade.
Would be good to have a top striker come through though.
Reminds me of Paulo Wanchope
Santi, Chambers, Rosicky and Gnabry all start for the u21 tonight.
The full team: Macey, Sheaf, Pleguezuelo, Bielik, Moore, Chambers, Cazorla, Rosicky, Willock, Gnabry, Mavididi
Few of the ones that might have featured have gone off with their national teams for the U17 European Championships. McGuane, Nelson and Malen are the ones I know for sure.
Arsenal are 2-1 with 10 minutes to go, Willock has just got his second. From the updates, it sounds like Cazorla played well for the hour he was on.
Would go to extra time and penalties if it finished level.
Finished 2-1, we're now into the play off final to get back up to Division 1. Good to see Willock scoring a brace, supposed to be two very good goals.

Said above I wasn't sure exactly who was going, so Jorge Bird with a little write-up on our bright young things that are off to the U17 European Championships.

Yeah, he looks decent but not necessarily better than the likes of Akpom, Afobe, Aneke, etc etc.Â
He could go up a level though, especially if he gets bigger, faster, stronger. Worth keeeping an eye on

The only doubt I had with Willock was his end product. If the kid can learn to make the right runs and finish consistently, the rest of his game is scary good. Very exciting.
His my fave talent coming through. Could become unplayable
His dribbling, at this level at least, is just unbelievable. He beats his marker just about every time he tries to. The fact that he can go both ways is part of what makes him so difficult to deal with.
Want to see him tested against proper players now.
He looks a proper talent. Looks a lot like Sterling.
Not as explosive but more tricky. I can see the similarity though.
I'd put my money first on this kid really doing something big though. He's a full two years younger than Willock and a good year younger than nearly everyone he's played with this season, even in the U18s - and he's spent most of the season playing U21. Still a little rough around the edges here and there technically and in his movement but he's also capable of exceptional pieces of skill, control and balance. He has a fantastic football brain though, that really, really stands out amongst his peers (even though, as mentioned, they're all actually older).
