Personally hate seeing him on the left. His tendency to keep drifting inwards makes us lack width, congests the middle of the pitch making things more difficult for Ozil and he also doesn't provide enough cover to Gibbs. If he can't manage to get into the team somewhere in midfield then I'd rather keep him on the bench and play whoever is fit out of Podolski, Cazorla and Rosicky on the left before him.
Anyone else still finding joy in watching Sagna dominate other FB and wingers aerially? Love seeing him as an outlet!
I do. Such a warrior.
For me, Sagna epitomizes what football should be about. Strength, speed, strong but fair in the tackle, commitment, work rate, strong in the air, functional technique, tactically astute. In short, he is wonderful.
Just hope we get to field this a few times
--------------Giroud ----Podolski--------Cazorla ---------------Ozil --------Arteta---Ramsey Gibbs--kos--merte--Sagna ----------szczesny
Or maybe even Theo on the right, Cazorla on the left and Podolski as the striker.
Yep just want Cazorla and ozil in the team together really
Gibbs has been called up by England as Cole has pulled out due to injury. Happy for him but think I'd have him stay back and recover from all the games he has played. We all know about his injury problems so think it would benefit him to rest rather than be with the England players
Yeah, that was my first thought too. I'm happy for him and he deserves it, but I was hoping he'd get some good rest and recovery time.
He won't play
Yeah, Baines will play both games.
I know, but I'd prefer him not to have to go away with England at all.
Confidence building Nela
It is either training with the England squad or training at London Colney. I choose to see it as the added motivation of being closer to Brazil will give Gibbs an extra boost to improve.
Happy for Gibbs. Well deserved given his form over the last year and proves he is next in line after Cole and Baines. He's unlucky it's a very strong position for England at the moment but he will surely battle with Baines for the position once Cole retires.
Don't forget Luke Shaw. England are incredibly well stocked at LB like France were a couple of years ago with Evra, Abidal and Clichy competing for a starting spot. For that reason I don't think Gibbs will rack up the amount of caps his talent and effort deserves.
Baines looks well out of his depth pretty much every time I see him for England.

We are lucky, considering how fragile he is.
It's all right, we can start Monreal against Norwich and give Gibbs a rest if necessary.
Think we need a top class CB very much. Not to mention Schesny to keep his form. We will score always find ways to score, however if we start leaking goals i will be worried. Our early 2013 form was built on solid defense.
