Watched the whole Sunderland game today. Before the game (when the line up was out, and there was Ramsey) I mentioned him talking about Iniseta, and I wished he'd do an Iniesta. OK, the style is different, and hard to tell what position exactly he played. Even before Jack left, it looked to me most appropriate to say he had a free role: he mostly played with Jack around the AM zone, but he really went wherever he wanted - and did just great. At least in that respect you could understand why he likens his game to the Iniesta model/role.
I thought the presence of all of Art, Jack, Ramsey and Caz, perhaps for the first time (maybe include a bit of Stoke) sees us realizing the potential in midfield: from a team that struggled to get out of defense and didn't create much, we are now seeing what we were fantasizing about from the start. Dazzling opponent midfield (and defense) and creating chances galore (seeing this game again really made you think: we could have scored not 2 or 3, with a bit more accuracy and lucy the score could have been astronomic. Each of Walcott, Giroud and Santi could have had a hat trick, Ramsey had 2 great chances, Diaby should have scored). It really feels like there's going to be an explosion soon.
And some blasphemy: not taking anything from Bac's glorious game, it really was divine (and Chez had a great one too), and even though Santi's game was not perfect, he was still man of the match. When he plays like this, I really don't think he's matched by anyone in the league.
