No, he didn't really break my heart at all. I was never that attached to him, I felt more sorry for those who really were. I think he's full of shit because he very consciously went out of his way to play on the emotions of people and play himself up as something he wasn't. He didn't have to talk or write about the club in the way that he did as though he understood what it's like to be a fan. He could have done a very professional job without that.
And in terms of assessing the teams performance I don't think any player really does that well in those interviews. RvP gave a lot of praise to Theo, which was nice of him. But other than that, there wasn't that much in it.
