We almost never pay whats asked for our first choice.
So what are the recent examples? To be fair I think we've been getting our first choice targets recently, albeit couple of years late. Isn't the problem more that we generally don't seem willing to settle for the second or third choice options when chasing unrealistic targets like Benzema goes nowhere? Other than Suarez who had the whole release clause issue, I can't think of our other first choice targets we missed out on because of price. Maybe Mikhitaryan?
