Thought it was funny how Wenger came out not wearing it yesterday then after 1 minute of the game he put it on so the cameras could go close up on him almost as if it was a paid Puma ad. Sadly he didn't zip it up though!

Ridiculously good, and would have had a goal if Wilshere played the simple pass. Still hopeful to see Sanchez, Chambo and Walcott all click, with Welbeck, Giroud and Podolski as backup.
Wilshere shouldn't in a million years have passed that ball. However, he should have avoided to hit his 'shot' straight at De Gea who was already on the ground.
I watched that chance over and over again and still failed to see why Wilshere hit a tame shot at him. It's not as if De Gea tricked him or Wilshere gave him the eyes. It's a ridiculous miss, considering the amount of space De Gea left on his right.
Yeah, it's frustrating to think Wilshere should be scoring OR passing it but you're right that he shouldn't be passing that off.
It was a criminal miss tbh.
Every time I fancy myself to do better in any given situation 7 out of 10 times is about as horrible as it gets from our players. This was certainly one of those. 🙂
I remember Gervinho passing to RvP against Chelsea in a similar situation for a tap in....it wasn't totally out of the question, passing it to Sanchez. Would have been funny if he messed up the pass though....
He obviously was in two minds over whether to play the pass for a simple tap in/certain goal for Sanchez, or the harder option of finishing it himself...

He's absolutely right to shoot. Wilshere tried to give him the eyes and roll it in near post but De Gea read it/guessed the right way. The thing that Wilshere didn't realise was that he didn't need to outsmart him, just hit it low and early in either corner and it's in. He'd done the hard bit with the first touch. He'll learn quickly, if he's not out injured again for 17 months.Â
He obviously didn't watch what DeGea was doing, because DeGea was on the ground well before Wilshere 'finished'.
