Akpom twice; made in the factory.
Twice? Dopes on arsenal.com got that wrong then.

He's one of the most talented players in the Academy from what I've read. He was recently called up to the England U19 squad even though he's still 16. Can play as a striker or out wide.
Think a talented Danny Welbeck, Y. 🙂
Frimpong, Gnabry, Akpom, Oxlade-Chambo
they may turn out great they may flop
but they'd still have awesome names. I know people doing double-triple takes reading Frimpong

The failed chase towards the end of that video wasn't down to a lack of speed, it's because his legs had gone. Reminds me of Alex Song and Yaya Toure when they were younger. Big, strong, powerful frames to carry around. Needs the same treatment Song got a couple of seasons back.

Wasnt the failed chase at the end Ebecilio?

There's quite a lot of Frimpongs in East London, there was a 'Nana Frimpong' at my old school.
Can't be many teams in the NextGen competition boasting as much talent as we had on show there. Bellerin and Toral impressed me more there than they have done previously. Akpom stole the show though.
Any idea why Angha is playing left-back?
Terrific pass from Olsson to Akpom for the third goal.
Edit: On second viewing it looked a lot harder than it was to pull off. It was a very nice sequence though. Akpom's movement around the box seems pretty intelligent.

As opposed to centreback? He can't tackle to save his life.
Left side and not right side, simply because Bellerin's the bigger talent at right back and we have no one of real quality to play left back.
seems like all our foreign recruits from the past couple of years were in the lineup.
Gnabry looking top draw again, really hope we see a bit of him he 1st team this season.. . He's got brilliant awareness of whats around him & that ability to be thinking one step ahead of the game. Massive potential.
Gnabry is brilliant. Such good balance.
Just realised we buy quite a lot of young defenders who are promising but they never ever turns to be good enough for the first team.
Is it me or Olsson looks much better than Toral?
Seems more cultured on the ball but maybe toral has more of a goal threat
Gnabry looks great.
Also like the fact that he seems solidly built and does everything at speed. Must add that i have only seen him on youtube, etc!
Gnabry deserves a chance in the Carling Cup.
