Sometimes there is a tendency for people to miss the message because they are busy trying to win arguments. Arguments that are based on bias, preconceptions and lack of objectivity, so they shoot the messenger, people seem to forget that even though we say these things we are Arsenal fans too. Do I scold my child to derive pleasure or to make him a better person? We all love our club, so why would any Arsenal fan derive pleasure from our rot? I get worked up sometimes because 1) We are not a club that should be going through this mess, we are above this shit I'll understand if we were Liverpool 2) a lot of people seem to "fall in love" with personalities, as a fan your love should be for the club, this obsession with personalities IMHO clouds people's objectivity when it comes to players and the manager, people fall in love with players that are no good or a manager that has not been in trophy winning form. 3) like I said earlier it's as if people don't want to see or can't bring themselves to lay blame where blame lies. That's what get's me most times!!
You may be right it's not that people refuse to see, they see but they can't bring themselves to accept that Wenger is the root of all the evil, That Aurra of Wenger knows is ingrained in a lot of people and they can't accept their god as a failure or can't bring themselves to criticize someone who in a different era brought much glory to the club. For all his ranting and raving did you notice the guy in the video clip outside the Emirates couldn't bring himself to blame Wenger, he kept blaming Gazidis....that's my point!! What is our shit got to do with Gazidis?
People objective enough to recognize when the shit is heading for the fan, having a lightbulb moment when the shit has hit the fan is not exactly the stuff of genuis.
