I think the club has been running a much tighter ship than people realize.

The board asks Wenger to turn water into wine year after year in terms of the budget they give him and the results they expect him to achieve.

Coupled that with him taking on the full brunt of our results and taking pressure away from the players and the way fans get on his backs then you have a man with a load of pressure on his shoulders.

Its just too much for one man, even the boss.

This current crop of players better not fail him for the rest of the season. They owe him and us a strong second half to the season.

@ kid. They do not owe us anything. They are, every single one of them, paid mercenaries. It's their job.
If they get a better offer, they are gone. Even Wenger! He doesn't do this for free

As to giving us a strong second half of the season, i am not too sure. The players did not lose to Bayern or City or Chelsea or Man U or Blackburn on purpose or because they couldn't be bothered. They lost because the other teams were better than them as they scored more goals than them. No other reason. No science. No art. No philosophy, psychology or mumbo-jumbo although i would concede a little bit of statistics. The final score!

Heh heh Squally mirrors the trajectory of a Wenger player from the last years, after the initial Squally who? impression he gradually wormed his way into the team with some solid if not match winning performances, then the mistakes started, giving away stupid free kicks spectacular own goals, defending "the boss" and pronouncing that next season will be our year, until finally becoming a sad dejected misunderstood lonely figure of fun.
