stating facts is a lack of respect? is this a religious cult where we close our eyes to reality? Only a zealot consigns his eyes and brains to the bin and thinks his leader infallible
Great men shame and disgrace themselves or at the very least tarnish their reputations/legacies if only in the short term...fact. And note I said "great men" i.e it doesn't take away from what they acheive. Clinton, Strauss Kahn etc etc, nobody says today they didn't acheive great things but it is undeniable that they tarnished their reputions as they left office. Wenger has more or less assured that he won't win the league or CL before he leaves, considering the 8-11 year wait or whatever it will be before he leaves, he can only go out tarnished. AN FA cup or CC won't change that much and even the odds of him acheiving that are pretty much as low as can be. Only an idiot or a zealot can think that acknowledging these things and stating it equates to a lack of respect!!
In any event what exactly respect are you demanding, respect for the man or respect for his achievements, respect for treating us like mugs and patronising us for the last 8 years? I can acknowledge and respect acheivements as an individual but I have no respect for a man who refuses to show me respect. Wenger AFAIAC has shown us fans little respect over the last few years and we have been very patient. Whatever he gets will be what he deserves, it doesn't mean he gets demoted to the "second greatest manager this club has ever had". It just means he has/had the power to write his own exit but by his own making it will be unceremonious, shameful, unbefitting or disgraceful.
