It is natural that he gets linked with us. Liverpool have bought a reasonably expensive goalkeeper and only us and Barca are teams more attractive than them who need Goalkeepers, although none of us are desperate.

I can see us putting a cheap last day bid that gets rejected.

Reina will go to Barca, sit on the bench for a season until Valdes contract is out (unless Valdes is sold this summer, which I doubt) and then he'll have one or two poor seasons on Spain.

I hope, he goes to Barca next season. After Liverpool have paid him close to 100k per week for sitting on the bench.

Reina, certainly, is a dodgy keeper and that's why Liverpool are happy to "get rid" but he is, still, much better than Valdez who i think is Almunia-bad.

Valdez is by far the best keeper in world football with the ball at his feet. That is obviously very highly rated at Barcelona. It also takes a very special goalkeeper to be able to handle to stand doing nothing for such long periods of time as he usually has to endure. All in all - I think he has been an excellent goalie for Barcelona.

True, Rex. Valdez must be doing something right as they win so much and my opinion doesn't carry much weight, but i have not been particularly impressed from the little i see of him. He looks shaky when under attack and doesn't project an "invincibility aura".
