When the goal went in Otf was the first thing I thought of.
Did you actually think Villa would get something out of the game or was it guesswork?
It was a genuine belief that there was a good chance of it happening. Obviously if I had to bet my life on it I'd have still gone for Chelsea, but I saw the result coming.
There's a lot between us and Chelsea though, namely the small matters of Manchester City and Liverpool. We need both of those to drop points as well before celebrating.

Liverpool are beating us to that 3rd spot so far. Maybe they will get even further.

Chelsea are still in the best position, then City, then Liverpool, then us.
We're running on fumes atm.
Worst part is, we have no one coming back immediately to give us a boost. Ramsey's the closest, and it's a little far fetched to think he'll play any big part in the league for us.

I think if we're going to win the league we're going to have to grind it out. We've not been tearing teams apart all season and we certainly won't now with our best players out, but the one thing we've done well is defend and keep clean sheets. I'll take a 1-0 win against Chelsea all day long. Hopefully Ox isn't injured because he's our only real outlet at the moment.
If we do to Chelsea what we just did to the scum, I'll be over the moon.
Trip to Anfield is as tough as it gets these days.
I think everyone has similarly tough fixtures left TBH. Everyone had todays game down as one of ours and here we are 3 points later with people still being negative.

No one's being negative. More like worried. Don't want to end up finishing fourth again, which if you look at our performances and form in the past few games, is what we are - 4th best.
