I genuinely expect Theo to hit a run of form once he gets fit, especially with Ozil and Santi in the team. If Theo's playing well he'll start for England, regardless of Townsend's contribution imo.

You can't take it for granted that Townsend will continue being awesome. Maybe he will start the next few matches, but Theo will eventually be back.

I just pointed out that Townsend, unless he has a stinker on Tuesday, will be first choice at the next round of games, if he is available.
Before Friday it was clearly Walcott's spot, but now I'd say it is Townsend's to lose. It isn't like Walcott has been lighting it up for England lately either. Only Wilshere who lights up currently...

England have so many athletic players with agility and pace now. Sturridge, theo, Welbeck, Townsend, the ox. Enough to put any team on the back foot
