maybe, maybe not. soldado is an ok player that no gooner wanted to bother with. lamela and eriksen would take time to bed in. their midfield is full of stamina and physicality but is far from creative. defense is about as good as ours. the bale hangover will be tangible for the next few months. any talk of them cracking the top 3 is horseshit.

I still think Ronaldo cares about being the best. His celebrations and sulking proves that.

Still a fantastic player to watch. Looking forward to their CL matches and El Clasico.

It is possibly his best and worst asset. His driving force is about believing and wanting to be the best, I don't think you'll find many players who look after and work as hard as he does. Just need to look at his physique throughout the season and even out of season he keeps in top shape whereas someone like Rooney seems to let himself go. On the other hand that will to be the best can hinder him at times and make him try too hard and overcomplicate things, like Rene alluded to in that article.

Think this video is testament to what was discussed in that article. Ronaldo really took it upon himself, certainly with help, to round out his game and add effectiveness to it.

They've all three got to adapt to the both the PL and playing in a newly built midfield and attack.

Half time: Chelsea 1-0 Bayern

Bayern are more attacking this year; 1 holding midfielder instead of 2, starting positions of their wide forwards a bit higher up the pitch, higher defensive line.

They don't look as solid as they did last year. They've been the better team though.
