I know it's only preseason and you shouldn't count the results for much but I can't help but sit up and notice that Utd have been piss poor in theirs with their recent 1-3 defeat to Sevilla at Old Trafford. Only 2 wins out of 7 with 3 defeats against teams of the same quality that we have faced. If their form continues they will be out of the title race quicker than you could say "Moyes out".
They do look very flat. That said they have a few stars to come back.
The need more pace
Did you see the team that lost to Sevilla? They had two regular players at a stretch.
Moyes will actually play Kagawa in his real role this season and not as a central midfielder, which is something Ferguson failed to do. That alone will improve them.
It had a fair few regulars. It's only really van Persie, vidic and evra to come into that side

You're right though, Rooney and rvp are the two to up their level. The rest is just swapping around parity, smalling, Evans, jones... It's all the same
