I always thought he was an okish sort, for a footballer, never seemed to be as he's being depicted here.

He pays his agent for this stuff and has publicly backed his agent up. Anyway, even if it is because the owners didn't make the effort to shake his hand, he comes across as a massive prima donna. And he does have a history of moaning about not being appreciated.
