The loan move is good for him though as his age he needs to be playing week in week out and good for him to be at a team where he will play an important role, I think his passing and generally giving the ball away towards the end let him down so that is something he can improve on. I don't know if that is just a general fitness issue though.

Rumours are they wanted to loan out Ba rather than him but Mourinho refused to let Ba join us. From what I can gather Ba only wanted to join us.

And he also said he wanted to join us in January when he was available for a 5 million release clause. We needed another striker then so just does not make sense not to have at least bid and instead we tried to get him on loan from Chelsea in the next window. Maybe he still would have chosen Chelsea with the money they offered, but clearly we have been interested in him for a while so didn't make sense to not even meet the clause and try.

Barkley has been City's best player so far. He's had a shocker.

Everton are not dead and buried yet, City have been all over the place. Hope Everton don't drop too deep and continue pressing them high up the pitch.
