We should make a cheeky bid for Hernandez in the Jan Tran window, he's behind VP, Rooney and Wellbeck in the ManU pecking order and would get more play time here.

From what I have heard, the Cardiff goalie had a blinder. However, the decision that Lloris wasn't adjudged to have handled the ball outside his penalty area looks as if it could have gone either way. That certainly would have changed the complexion of the game, had the ref come to a different conclusion there.

I watched an and off and saw the last half hour once I'd decided the Manchester derby was a non-contestant. The Cardiff players really had their backs to the wall. Tottenham kept attacking and getting stuck in the area outside the penalty box. They'd lose possession, Cardiff would boot the ball to Lloris and Spurs would come back. Repeat. Spurs only problem was they had too much possession for a team that doesn't have a dominant centre forward you can lump it to or an AM who can jig his way through tight spaces. They looked good. Lamela especially showed some good movement.

Di Canio's overall league record at Sunderland was something like 2 wins, 3 draws, 9 losses.

Stretched out over a season that's about 25 points. He's fucking lucky he even managed to keep them up.
