Latest reports I've seen suggest they were United people (well, contractors) but managed some incredibly incompetent miscommunication to fuck everything up.

Apparently it's because they weren't familiar with Spain's regulations and that they left it too late to change things. Also they tried to negotiate down the buy out clause - i don't think even we've tried to do something like that?

Best finisher in the league now is Sammuel Etto.

I know he plays for a rival but so exciting to see him play in our league.

An all time great. If he is motivated at Chelsea he could prove to be the signing of the summer (after our Turk-German of course).

Haven't seen him since he moved to Russia. If he still has his legs he will be a great addition. If not...

He's only a year and a half older than van Persie. Odds are he's going to tear it up for Chelsea.

Adjusting to the pace of the PL at his age could be a problem. Pure class though.

Class is permanent. Might not be as pacy as he once was, but Eto'o will still have the intelligence and finishing instincts that made him, for a period of time, Europe's, and the world's most feared striker.

Similar to what Drogba showed Mertesacker at the E-cup

That's not actually true though is it? Otherwise we may as well re-sign Henry again.

Whatever the money, I can't take a player who moved to Anzi particularly seriously. I'd question his hunger for the game.

Didn't see him in russia but already looked on the wane when he was helping Inter win the treble three years ago.

Fucking love eto'o though.

Was curious and checked the stats, Jovetic hasn't played a single minute in the league so far, what's up with that?

He's been away for what? Two years? Don't think it's been so long that he'd have lost it.

When we got Henry back on loan, he still showed his quality on a couple occasions. The competitive spirit can always be rekindled.

Fun and inspiring (and important) as that Henry return was, if an Eto'o back in the big league plays as well as Henry did then we've nothing too much to worry about.

Looking through City's 25 man squad... is it me or is it not actually THAT good?

Hart, Pantilimon, Wright, Zabaleta, Richards, Kompany, Demichelis, Boyata, Lescott, Clichy, Kolarov, Fernandinho, Rodwell, Toure, Garcia, Navas, Milner, Silva, Nasri, Aguero, Jovetic, Negredo, Dzeko, Nimely.

I think their first 11 is pretty similar to ours in quality, es expected. But their depth is where I would have expected them to be well ahead, but it's not particularly impressive.

Seems to have been lost in their summer splurging that replacing Balotelli and Tevez with Negredo and Jovetic actually substantially weakened them.

What difference Fernandinho and Navas makes remains to be seen.

:d
What stopped you from completing the sentence Clrnc?

Caught sight of a clip of our new signing and suddenly had to head down to the laundromat.

kagawa is not his signing and may not be in his plans - we'll see. we don't really have room for him in our team, but he'd be an amazing signing for relatively cheap (united didnt even pay much for him).

i do think moyes is going to take a lot of the blame for the void that gill left.

No worries, Mourinho will play him at right back again.
