Let all the discussions begin! Japan v Brazil the opening match, should be a very fun game to watch. 2 attacking technical team.

Brazil: Julio Cesar, Dani Alves, Thiago Silva, Luiz, Marcelo, Oscar, Gustavo, Paulinho, Fred, Neymar, Hulk.
Subs: Jefferson, Fernando, Lucas Moura, Hernanes, Dante, Filipe Luis, Jean, Rever, Bernard, Jo, Jadson, Cavalieri.

Japan: Kawashima, Konno, Nagatomo, Uchida, Yoshida, Endo, Honda, Kiyotake, Kagawa, Hasebe, Okazaki.
Subs: Nishikawa, Inoha, Gotuko Sakai, Havenaar, Hosogai, Nakamura, Kurihara, Maeda, Inui, Takahashi, Hiroki Sakai, Gonda.

Referee: Pedro Proenca (Portugal)

Time to watch Honda against the Brazilians. The 3 playmakers Kiyotake, Kagawa and Honda behind lone striker Okazaki will be very interesting. Same formation as Brazil.

I would say Japan are technical and Brazil, who i normally support, have so far been disappointingly functional.

I think Blatter has just told the crowd to kiss his fat arse and the crowd told him to F- off.

What a goal Neymar! Brazil on fire

Fifa's commentator say Julio Cesar is on the brink of completing a move to Arsenal. 🙁 Already looking so flaky in the opening minutes struggling to deal with Honda's shot.

He was iffy as hell on Honda's shot.
Bound to sign for us.

He keep falling all over the place as well. The pitch is shit though.

I really like Honda's fight. Gave Dani Alves a death stare just minutes after kickoff in a tussle.

Hulk is shit. Looks too buff to be an effective winger. I think Fred is okay though, great assist for the first goal.

He's surprisingly tough alright is Honda, no problem standing his ground and blocking that Hulk shot.

Paulinho will be a good signing for anyone, but I am more impressed with Luiz Gustavo. The pitch is really not encouraging good football, hurting Japan's pass and move system.

Mind boggling how such a good player like Endo spent his entire life playing in Japan. Similar to those Mexican players in their domestic league. Hardly ever get discovered.

Marcelo is excellent going forward, proper catalyst

People who say Brazil won't win the world cup don't have a clue. They have every chance to.

They have a chance but they don't look good enough going forward to me. I think Germany are the favourites

I don't think that team performance would trouble Spain, Germany or even Argentina.
I thought that Oscar pass run Neymar's hit a close second, as the moment of the match.

Missed this. How did Honda do? I wouldn't mind him at Arsenal at all.

Pirlo denied a stonewall penalty. Very good game so far. Very open.
