I have mixed feelings on this, but, would back you if I have to choose one side.
On one hand, he is a great finisher and scores goals with both feet and has sizable physique - so, he is a definite upgrade over Giroud. On the other, he does not perform in big games or against the better teams and doesn't seem to have enough fight or zip about him for our league.
He'd be a rich man's Eduardo, a statement of intent and certainly better than no-one.
But, if we have to make considerable investment, wage-wise, on one player who is to be our main striker for the next two to three years, at least, he doesn't seem like a great option to go for.
