Same reason Juve got rid of Henry, or Inter got rid of Bergkamp?
Except it's not even that bad as he actually performs well for them.

Think he'd be a consistent 20 PL goals a season striker - I would much prefer him to Benzema too.
I'm not sold on Benzo, too fat. Never a good sign.
I'm getting Anelka vibes from Benzema. They seem to have the same type of mentality and both probably peaked at twenty. He's got time to turn it around but I can't see him getting the stability he needs to develop properly at Real Madrid.
Benzema all round game is probably much better, but Higuain is a better goalscorer and pure striker.
I would take him any time.
Think Benzema is better than Higuian when he's properly fit. Rolls Royce at his best. But half the time he looks as though he cant be arsed.
Right, we all seem to agree that Higz is better than Benz, for us.
How much do you guys reckon Real will sting us for him and more importantly does Wenger rate him?
Armor wrote:Good player but i doubt he's available. Surely Benzema would be the one to go. I'd take either of them though. Lots of options this summer, really no excuse for not finding a goalscorer who will hit 25/30 a season.
"We have Benzema and Higuain, Higuain will leave, Benzema will stay and two others will come."
Seems pretty clear no?
Market rate I would say he's a £20mill player. If Madrid are very keen to get him off the wage bill then someone (us!!) might get him for 15ish. I reckon.
Everytime i see that word, i am reminded of the Chinaman prank calls

Whenever he plays for France, you mean.
Higuain would definitely score goals, but he adds little else and he passes up his fair share of sitters too. If we're spending mega money i'd rather somebody out right better, or somebody who could probably score a similar amount in England but with a far higher ceiling (like Jovetic maybe)
We would all like Jovetic, but we would have to be willing to part with big bucks.
Reason we are discussing these guys is their potential availability on the cheap.
Neither of these guys would be cheap though, and I don't think Jovetic would command a huge amount more.
Higuians goalscoring record is pheeeenominnal!

There are numerous reasons why i wouldn't pay attention to that quote.
grammer?
I wouldn't believe a word from anyone at Real.
Is his build up play up to Arsene's CF requirements though?
Seems more of a poacher/box lurker than someone who can hold up play, distribute and then get the goals.
Yeah. Higuain is alert and involved. Works hard. And just finishes. I'd prefer this to the David Villa rumour even. We need a focal point of the attack who can finish.
People should not be worried about Madrid castoffs. All of Higuain, Benzema, Kaka, Di Maria would be automatic starters at Arsenal but have to rotate. Only Ronaldo is a certain starter
Gonzalo Higuain is already out of Real Madrid target. The white front had already reached a preliminary agreement with Arsenal to sign for five seasons and the London club would pay an amount close to 22 million euros for the player. The environment Higuain had several offers and has already taken the decision to leave the Bernabeu at the end of season. His priority has always been the Premier League, where he also received strong interest from Tottenham. Higuain resignation and playing in calcium, where Juventus had two years following him and doing it for personal and professional reasons. Prefer to go to England.
The agreement between Higuain and Arsenal is total and seems that Real Madrid will have little to say because you want to break away from the front and end up accepting the 22 million euros that will pay the English. Yes, everything is outstanding at the end Arsenal qualified for the Champions League. Otherwise, look for another way Higuain and could go to the Tottenham if this team is just qualifying.
Higuain start for Real Madrid upset considering that he has never been appreciated as it deserves. In fact, still waiting for the expansion and improvement of contract that promised him since the preseason and that they have never met.
