The funny thing now is listening to radio shows. The Manc fans are complaining that they do not have good enough players and that Ferguson should have bought Sneijder and that Welbeck isn't the requisite quality. LOL. A month ago, Smalling, Jones and Welbeck were the second coming of the Fledglings. Now they're not good enough.
Problem is United's fans completely lack perspective. While our 8-2 thrashing came at the tail-end of our 6 month decline, United's thrashing is only their first defeat since losing to Barca, and arrives just months after they won a league title. In addition, they're only 5 points off the top of the table after having had the hardest opening schedule of any Premier League team. It was also funny to see how empty their stadium was even before the 4th, 5th, and 6th goals flew in.
Most of the United fans that I know have gone to ground.
They won't even speak about it 😆
One of them tried to fake strangle me today at work, had not seen him since the result and all I had done was laugh, raise an eyebrow and say "Well...?"
They really haven't a clue.
